Wise Guy

I was explaining to Katherine, Elizabeth and Wil how some individuals with Down syndrome have lower oxygen levels so they may not be wearing masks.

Wil has been much better at wearing a mask in public (he wears a buff as it fits better). We went to the grocery store and Elizabeth said, “Wil, put your mask on.”

“I don’t have to Lizbeth.” Wil said. “I have Down syndrome.”

I stifled a laugh. “Nice try, Wil. Put your mask on.” I said. He did.

I’ve talked to Wil about having Down syndrome on many different occasions, but I never knew if he understood what that meant. He clearly knows enough to use it to his advantage. 😂
