Our Down syndrome support team had a mom’s night out last night. Whenever I spend time with these beautiful women, I know what real strength is. We laugh, we share, and we are all brought together closer thanks to a teeny, tiny third copy of the 21st chromosome. Do you know I am so much more thankful for this chromosome and the fullness it has brought to my life for the fact that I once feared the challenges this chromosome could bring?

Our fears can turn into our greatest loves the moment we choose to embrace the whole of them. It is truly the challenge, not the ease, that brings people together to share deeply in their joys.
