RISE UP THURSDAY!
We get to most places slower than the majority, but that has awakened me to all the small victories to be celebrated along the way. Before we have even crossed the finish line, I already know that we are winning.

RISE UP WEDNESDAY!
It’s a beautiful thing when we can find a way to embrace the different gifts we have in one another.

RISE UP TUESDAY!
Your smile in this world makes a difference.

RISE UP MONDAY!
Go big and own it!

After a workout, I asked this man, “Wasn’t that fun?!” And he replied, “Oh, no, I work too hard for it to be fun.” Huh, I always thought that was the fun part. If hard work equals progress, and progress equals happiness, and happiness contains fun, well then, there you have it.
I share this because I know some of you out there are trying to work fitness into your life. Especially with the new year upon us. It can be an overwhelming task. And yes, it is hard. And guess what, it doesn’t get any easier. But the fun part is, you get better. Your reward is the thrill of your personal achievement. Some days, I’m happy I fit one mile into my day. But that is one mile better than I was the day before. Our progress is all very personal and it changes day to day. As long as we know inside we are giving our best with what we have that day, that is where the thrill of achievement inside of us thrives and can’t help but extend to other areas of our lives.
I know I look like every run is a blast in my pictures, and it is. Not because it is easy, but because it is a freaking thrill to keep moving forward in my own life journey. Be it one mile at a time, or 26.2 marathon miles, or even a beautiful 50 miles at a time. It’s a very personal journey. So when it feels hard, remember, hard work equals progress, and progress equals happiness, and happiness contains fun, so then, there you have it. Now let’s all get out there and have some fun!

RISE UP THURSDAY!
If I can show the love first, before our minds start to count chromosomes, pre-conceived beliefs would lose much of their power.
